Become a member of Verity

We place a lot of emphasis on the quality of our individual members, which we attribute to our longevity, therefore it is important to us that applicants meet the following criteria:

  • You are mature.
  • You are able to communicate clearly.
  • You possess a sense of humor.
  • You have a real life.
  • You’re interested in becoming part of a tight-knit family.
  • You demonstrate a commitment to developing your character through gear and reputations.
  • You have gear in accordance with your class and/or build.
  • You are knowledgeable of your class and are able to perform as such.
  • You’re able to attend the majority of raids/events on our schedule.
  • You meet the age guidelines below, or fall within one of the allowances.

Applicant Age Guidelines

Applicants to Verity must be aged 18 or older with the following allowances:

  • Applicants 15-17 years of age, a blood relative of an adult full-member of Verity (family), may apply. If accepted, the adult full-member of Verity will be the sponsor and mentor of the underage applicant.
  • For applicants aged 15-17 that are not related to a full-member of Verity, an officer may sponsor them and become their mentor.
  • No applicants aged 14 or under will be accepted, but may reapply under the above allowances upon dinging age 15.

Trial Memberships

It’s really important to Verity to have the right mix of personalities in the guild. For this reason we like to interview potential recruits on our private Ventrilo server. If the interview goes well we generally extend a trial invitation.

New members are invited into the guild on a probationary basis for up to 30 days. This way we can see if we’re truly a good fit for one another. If, during the 30 day trial either party is unsatisfied with the new arrangement, we will wish each other the best of luck and part ways.

Our member invitation process has proven quite successful. It’s reflected in both our low turnover rate and enjoyable guild culture.

Trial members, typically referred to as “Recruits”, will have access to most of the guild website during their trial. If the recruit becomes a member they will gain full access with their new rank.

Getting Started

  1. Read the Guild Charter.
  2. Complete a membership application by following one of the links above. Your application will be viewable only by officers.
  3. Your application will be reviewed by and discussed among the guild officers.
  4. If we are interested in speaking with you further about a membership position then you will be contacted by an officer to schedule an interview.
  5. If the interview goes well you may be extended a trial invitation for 30 days.
  6. A successful trial results in official guild membership and full website access. Please note that the above is the standard procedure when recruiting is open.
