Final Fantasy 14

Hey guys, long time no see. Finally after months got moved into my own place and have no interruptions. Saw that ppl were jumping back into WoW. I am interested to see if anyone is intending on picking up FF 14 when its released. It comes out on Sept. 30th, but you can get in on the 22nd if you buy the CE. I haven't talked to anyone that got in on the beta yet, so if you have played it or know someone that has let me know! I remember 11 having a pretty good subscriber base and was pretty successful as an MMO so I would expect Square Enix to take that and run with it in 14. And if no one is getting it let me know what else you guys are up to!

I also have a beta invite, but yea, probably won't have much time with it. Working on heroic LK at the moment. Maybe I'll pick FF up and play it occasionally depending on WoW progression.

There's a chance I might give it a go if it looks like there will still be a few months until Cataclym release when FF14 drops. Word of mouth from players I trust in beta is that the interface is just terrible at the moment, which could be a deal breaker for me. We'll see.

I had planned on trying FF14 when it came out (the gfx alone made it something i wanted to try) btu as Nettle said above, I will really only have time for one game to focus on and it looks like we're goign to to do the wow thing

Since we dinged 80, were going to be running some 5 mans, heroics and eventually some 10 mans waiting on cata to be released.

Pop into IRC and/or wow sometime if u have a sub --

Open Beta for FF 14 has begun. You can download the client at: http://entry.ffxiv.com/na/index.html

You also have to make a Square Enix account and apply for membership. I haven't been able to get a key yet because of the massive influx of people trying to get in. I got a tip from a friend who got up early for work and managed to get a key around 5 AM pacific time. He said he isn't too happy with the game thus far which is a little saddening for me, but I'd still like to try for myself.

Even if this one doesn't turn out too well there's a still a huge slew of them coming out over the next 4 months or so. I recently gave Guild Wars 2 a look and was surprised at how different it is from the original. Especially the raise in lvl cap to 80.
